While working on a speech, Einstein started to suffer internal bleeding. He was rushed to the hospital but he refused to get surgery, believing he had lived his life. It took a long time, but Einstein finally died the next morning at the age of 76. Without permission from Einsteins family, Thomas Stoltz Harvey removed Einsteins brain to prevent study and to preserve it. Einsteins ashes were scattered at an undisclosed location. Einsteins brain is now located at the Princeton University Medical Center.
